Pre & Post-Operative Rehab
Pre & Post-Operative Rehab
Pre and Post-Operative Rehabilitation` is a process that not only helps to rehabilitate a patient post-surgery but also helps to prepare them physically for surgery.
There are a plethora of benefits to a structured pre-operative or “pre-habilitation” program. A Preoperative Rehabilitation programme is designed by your physical therapists to aid your body before surgery to improve the chances of a positive outcome. A Preoperative Rehabilitation programme can also help to prepare you mentally for surgery.
Post Operative Rehabilitation
Patients often undergo Post Operative Rehabilitation programmes following surgery on the hip, knee, shoulder, wrist, hand, neck, foot, ankle, and spine to help assist a speedy recovery. By following a structured rehabilitation plan, patients are often able to strengthen their bodies in ways that facilitate a not only quicker than average but also full recovery. Post Operative Rehabilitation often includes physiotherapy treatments and muscle manipulation.
Surgery is often the final step in a treatment cycle if more conservative methods such as physiotherapy, and muscular manipulations don’t bring the desired results. Although surgery can often seem daunting, when combined with a well-structured pre and post-operative rehabilitation plan, it can help restore standard function in the affected area of the body. Here at CBR Clinics, we are experts in both preparing patients for surgery, and rehabilitating them afterwards.
We help prepare & rehabilitate for:
Rotator Cuff Repair (RCR)

CBR Clinics also carry out Pre and Post Operative Rehabilitation treatments on spinal surgeries such as Decompression, Discectomy and Fusion.
Your First Rehabilitation Treatment
Pre-Operative Rehabilitation Treatments
At CBR Clinics we specialise in the care you need after your surgery, as well as the precautions you need to take before surgery. Your first preoperative session will begin with an initial assessment of your condition before our expert physiotherapists start to work alongside your surgeon to ensure the best possible, and most effective results for you.
Post-Operative Rehabilitation Treatments
Once you have undergone surgery, our experts will then assess your injury (post-op) to determine the most effective treatments methods. From here a rehabilitation plan will be agreed with you and regular appointments scheduled to monitor your progress continually. During these sessions, your rehabilitation plan will be tweaked to reflect the progress of your rehabilitation.
